From growing up in the area, I knew Porcello had a good solid reputation. Things sure have changed!\r \r I brought in several pieces and one was a white 18k gold Cartier ring with black and white diamonds in a pave setting. I have moved a few times and the original certificate for this ring has been lost. The "appraiser" took one quick look and said- It's a fake; a good one, but a fake. I was stunned. Even though I wasn't there when it was purchased, I was 100% certain it was genuine. Without the certificate I had no proof.\r \r He went on to say the Cartier 'always' stamps their logo inside the pieces and this one was engraved (and not very well, he claimed). An older gentleman also looked at it but couldn't say one way or the other if it was real or fake. \r \r I was also insulted by the review of the other items I brought in. They seemed to be genuinely surprised that my Jaeger-LeCoultre 18k gold watch was real. They made me feel like I brought in a bunch of paste with one real ge
