Our existing fireplace was measured by the Leonard's salesman for a pellet stove insert early in December. We were assured of an expert installation that would result in a cusom fit. When the installers arrived the week before Christmas with what was apparently the standard shroud, they installed the stove, leaving a 5" overhang on both sides of the existing stone and a 5" gap at the top. They did not install the thermostat, which would have required running a wire under the pier and beam house. We called the salesman, who admitted to "dropping the ball" on the custom shroud, and we were informed that it would be "after the first of the year" before the correct shroud would be installed. My call on December 28 was answered with a recorded message that the business would be closed from December 24 through January 1.
