My spouse had been feeding our Siamese real meat for years, and when she started puking up after each meal, we brought her in to see Dr. Jessen. He did a full exam, and then told us to "just keep feeding her like you're doing; there's nothing you can do about it." I had expected him to tell my husband to lay off it and get her on a special kidney failure diet. But no. I asked, 'even the hotdogs, with all those nitrates?' and he actually told me, " it's not going to make any difference." If I'd been stupid enough to actually listen to him, she'd be dead by now, after having suffered a very painful death. Instead, I took her to a vet down the hill, who put her on KD food that day (which immediately stopped her puking) AND gave her meds to slow her disease process, all for LESS than this killer's BAD diagnosis. He knew she was like a child to us, because we told him. I found his behavior not only unprofessional, but unforgiveable. I'll never return here.
