Review content:
We went this weekend, museum is free on Sundays (open at 1:00 PM) . I don't think museum is as accurate a word as ""activity center"", but I'm not going to argue. I was looking for a big, stone building - nope; just a storefront; easy to miss. But it's bigger than it looks once you're inside. It's not a huge place, but they've made great use of the available space. A very cute garden with some hidden surprises welcomes you, then there's a kitchen, farmer's market, construction area and crafts area, along with a toddler nook that is semi-enclosed. All high-quality, interactive types of things that encourage creative play, plenty of toys to share. \r \r As this was a free event, it did get a bit too crowded for us, but our daughter didn't seem to mind. I would probably go back on a Saturday or weekday and pay the fee just for a little less chaos, but I have a low tolerance for that sort of thing.\r \r The staff was professional and friendly. I liked that they had some security steps in place (I was issued an arm band, indicating a child was with me) and there were several security cameras. Another staff member or volunteer kept a watchful eye over the chaos, straightening things up as needed.\r \r Parking was a pain, but it's in the middle ot a college area, what can you do? We found a spot on the street eventually. Pros: High quality exhibits, well thought out Cons: It's a small place, parking can be difficult if you have to walk with a child
