Just yesterday, August 24, 2012, I had an appointment with OptiCare, at 65 North St. in Danbury, CT to get an exam and glasses. First, off, the computers were all down as of the day before and the person behind the desk and I discussed the lack of timeliness in getting the situation resolved. Funny how a business like that could be down for two days with no power outages - how professional - NOT. \r This same person spoke so loudly that everyone could hear her reveal my address and phone number. Worse, I got called in and an ASSISTANT, NOT the doctor did the exam. I don't know what her credentials are or even if she HAS any. The doctor only threw drops in my eyes and blinded me with his shiny lights, checking for cataracts. He also had to be the most humorless creature I have ever met. \r Their choice of frames were laughable - 95% were rectangular. I left with no glasses but even worse, they sent me on my way with NO disposable sunglasses to wear home and I could barely see. I had the most difficult time getting home. \r This was the biggest waste of my time ever. I am filing a complaint against them with as many outlets as I can find applicable. If you have half a brain do NOT give them your patronage!
