Review content:
I used to know Hascal Haile, Tompkinsville, KY. He built for Chet Atkins. I spent a few allnighters with Hascal and Chester and Chet gave me one of his Haile guitars he ordered from Hascal.\r
Some time later, my special little Hauser style guitar was kidnapped.. I have cried over that for 25 plus years.\r
I can honestly say that after just playing a 2005 cedar classic that J. Thomas Davis made with his own hands, as Hascal did ( the traditional ole' fashion way),\r
I feel I refound my old friend I lost. My hair stood on end. With a cedar/rosewood and a nice madagascar rosewood fingerboard, I have only one problem. I cannot put it down!!!\r
Thank you, J Thomas Davis for making that darn guitar for your friend. I can die a happy man now.\r
Paul in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Pros: superb workmanship and tone
Cons: you cannot put it down
