Review content:
Akai Hana, formerly Restaurant Japan, makes sushi an art. Although perhaps not as trendy as other sushi restaurants in the area, Akai Hana has no reason to be pretentious. While other sushi restaurants are busy trying to make the consumer have an ""authentic"" japanese experience through the influence of interior decor, Akai Hana allows you an experience all your own, through its delectable selection of sushi, as well as other traditional entrees. The sushi is always very fresh, and the proportions of ingredients in the rolls couldn't be more perfect, for an overall delicious taste. Aside from more traditional sushi (which is all excellent), be sure to try the spicy scallop roll and dynamite roll (though, I would recommend having a full glass of water on hand to put out the fire you may experience in your mouth. Not in a bad way, of course!) When we try other japanese restaurants, we always end up comparing them to Akai Hana, and we always end up back at the same place. The wait may be long, but good things come to those who wait. Reservations are recommended.
Pros: See comments.
Cons: Always busy, but worth the wait.
