Review content:
Visited this restaurant with my husband on a recent New Orleans trip. He had scoped it out earlier in the day and had his heart set on having Cuban food for dinner. Stopped by at about 8pm, and we were the only diners in there. I guess that wasn't a good sign! I hate to be negative...but being honest isn't always nice. The place was a bit dingy (I know lots of places in New Orleans are) but this was in the Central Business District, which is surrounded by nicer restaurants and hotels all around and it had a slight musty, basement smell. However, the waitress was very prompt and very kind, so we thought we should stick it out. The dinner menu was a bit expensive for what it was; I had some very bland non-Cuban pasta and chicken dish (the only non-red meat/pork or fish dish), and my husband had some tasteless steak with very mushy plantains with a side of white rice and black beans. I've had great Cuban food, and I know it includes a lot of flavor! Perhaps it was off night, but as a tourist, I can only give it one shot...Sorry...
