FHT Auto Transport transported my car from California to Virginia in 2011. The driver, Miguel, was very courteous. He called me 2 days, 24 hours, and then the night just before arrival to Radford, Virginia, and we agreed on meeting the following morning at the nearest WalMart at 7:00 am. When we arrived, Miguel was already in the process of unloading my car. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. My car arrived in perfect condition. Pleased with their transport in 2011 and the fact that I had driven my car in February earlier this year from Virginia to California all by my lonesome and then accepted a job in Virginia Beach in April 2013 (!), I decided to call them directly rather than go through a broker to ship my car once again from California to Virginia! Steve gave me a very reasonable quote plus $50 off for being a repeat customer. Thereafter, I went between Steve and Arman, who is co-owner, regarding the order paperwork, deposit, pick up time, and other necessary details. My car was picked up in a smaller carrier on Friday, April 19th, in Oxnard, California, by David. Steve estimated my car would arrive in Virginia Beach, Virginia, a week from the following Monday, which was April 29th. Well, I got a very surprising call the following Tuesday, April 23rd, from Mario, the driver, and he told me he was in Atlanta and would be in Virginia Beach the next day, April 24th, 5 days earlier than the given estimate by Steve. It is a good thing I planned to fly into Norfolk on April 24th! As it turned out, my flight out of LAX left late and I was stuck in Detroit waiting for the next plane out to Norfolk. Mario, the driver, agreed to wait for my arrival, which would have been after midnight, even though he had a delivery in Richmond that evening. Long story short, we went back and forth on meeting in Norfolk where he would wait until after midnight for my late arrival and miss delivering to a potentially unhappy client in Richmond, VA, or meet in Richmond, VA, so he could deliver the car and keep that customer happy. In the end, I flew into Richmond, VA, just in time for the earlier flight to leave so he could deliver the other car and I would get my car before midnight. By the time I arrived in a cab at the TA station, he had my car unloaded and was waiting for me at the parking lot. Mario was courteous, friendly, and very professional, and best of all, he delivered my car in perfect condition, 5 days ahead of schedule. And with being ahead of schedule, what negative could anyone possibly associate with that? Well...it's all about timing! The negative on Mario was he arrived at 7:00 pm in Norfolk to deliver another car and had to wait on me because my flight was late and potentially he may have missed delivering on his schedule to another customer in Richmond. Fortunately, I worked with him and took an earlier flight into Richmond so he could deliver to the other customer in Richmond and deliver my car to me as well, before midnight! The negatives on me were I had to pay for a cab ride from the Richmond Airport that I didn't expect and I ended up driving almost 2 hours into Virginia Beach. I agreed to flying into Richmond and paying for the cab because I would be reimbursed by my company for relocation expenses and I helped out Mario to deliver to his customer in Richmond on time. The almost 2 hour drive was hard at so late an hour, though, but I was grateful to have my car and everyone was happy. I cannot say enough in praise of FHT Auto Transport. They are well-organized, courteous, professional, and really know their business in auto transport. I will not hesitate to use them again and will recommend them to everyone I know. I had already recommended them to one of the counter employees at Delta Airlines in Detroit who wanted to get her car transported from Georgia to Detroit. Thank you Arman, Steve, Susan, Miguel, and of course, my favorite, Mario! You are all just awesomeness! :)
