Review content:
Dr Moritz has been my nephrologist for almost ten years now and I think he is really a bright doctor who keeps up with the research in his area. He does have some quirks and a certain flair of arrogance that might be perceived by some patients as ""terrible bedside manner"". He's a motorcycle dude so I don't expect him to be emotional or sympathetic; in fact when I was first diagnosed with PKD, he said, ""You got a tiger by the tail, boy"". However, I have always found that he is willing to take longer than the usual doctor's 10 minutes when meeting in his office (in fact many times he has explained and discussed my condition for over 30 minutes). He is an expert a juggling all the meds a kidney patient must take and he is up to date on the new meds. He really knows kidneys. And, finally, he has pulled together a multi-cultural group of nephrologists who all seem to know what they're doing. I give him a ""thumbs up""!
Pros: Brains, Multi-cultural docs, knowledge of meds,
Cons: Abrasive, arrogant, Republican
