Review content:
I first met Dr Moritz while I was in Kidney failure and in a coma due to another problem. Soon after I awoke, I realized that the dedication of this man whom I had never met before had pulled me and my 26 year transplanted kidney out from the pit and back into the rather abnormal life of a kidney transplant patient. My 6 year old daughter now has her daddy and I get to see her grow up. Dr. Moritz is as kind as he needs to be. Remember, sometimes what we may see as a gruff side to anyone is just their own concern not well hidden. Would you rather a doctor be a complete zombie or a kissie feelie wimp, crying on your shoulder as you cry on his?\r \r After 3 1/2 years of dialysis and almost 29 years with a kidney transplant, I have only had 5 Nephrologists in Austin and Houston. 1 was a putz. 2 were great. 2 were outstanding. One of those is Dr. Moritz! If I insist on eating a bucket of wings during the superbowl, he just rolls his eyes and reminds me to take my diuretics and potassium, and I really don't eat the whole box just because I know that it's bad for my Renal Diet and Dr. Moritz will have to fix any damage I've done to myself. Once we go under a doctor's care for something like kidney disease we become their project and keeping us alive and as healthy as possible under falilig systems is the end goal of that project.\r \r If we act like little children and disobey the Doctor's Orders ther we will be treated like children and be chastised somewhat. Pros: Very up to date with latest treatement and medication options.
