Review content:
I became a member of the new, beautiful Walnut Creek Yogaworks studio last year. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could upgrade to the San Francisco location (and 2 Marin County studios if I ever traveled in that direction), for $20/mo, with the plus being that 2 of my favorite Walnut Creek teachers are in the SF studio, Joanna and Sarah. As a beginning yogi, I really appreciated the emphasis on proper alignment and position. When I felt ready to try advanced classes, I found the continued emphasis on prevention of common yoga injuries critical , especially from Melanie (in Walnut Creek) and Joanna. Yogaworks has a great reputation in New York and LA with equally reputable national teacher training programs. Even though the various locations make it seem corporate, it does not have that feel at all. The SF studio is intimate, and has a welcoming, large sitting area with tea available- it doesn’t feel so crowded like some other SF locations when you have 5+ people waiting to enter the next class. The extensive schedule has lots of choices for beginners and advanced students. Unlimited Pilates classes are available as well for the monthly memberships. There are showers in the changing rooms which is not typical for your small SF yoga studio. Highly recommended!
