If you ever read or saw the movie with Charlton Heston playing Mike, I think it was called the ""Agony and the Ecstacy,"" and it tells what Mike went through at the hands of the evil pope. At that time the pope was a member of one of the ruling families of Italy; he had a wife and a mistress and he was offing peoples' heads and really mean. He was called the ""warlike pope"" and his last name was Della Rovere; a conteporary of Michaelangelo (obviously). I will have to look up when he lived, but it is very interesting to read about the lives of the popes. See you in your chair (where I can't talk about anything, so I am doing it now. This is the kind of thing that goes through my brain while I am in your chair).
