My wife and I went to the Salmon Creek location. It is a very fancy building. That should have alerted us but we already had the appointment. We waited quite a while and, when we did go back to the examining room, the exam was done by someone other than the doctor. More about her later. After she left the room, I again waited quite a while. Finally the doctor came in with a huge frown on his face. He gave me a limp handshake without ever looking at me while, at the same time, sitting at the desk. He quickly reviewed the notes the assistant had made and scribbled a prescription. It took him three tries because he was in such a hurry that he could not spell my name correctly. Ironically, if he had slowed down, he would not have made so many mistakes and would have finished sooner. When I saw the visit was about to end, I told him I was a diabetic and specifically wanted to be checked for retinopathy by an MD. He had apparently not reviewed the medical history I filled out. He mumbled something like, ""Of course"", and gave me the quickest eye exam you can imagine. He pronounced my eyes healthy and handed me the prescription. Even I could tell it included no entry for my bifocals and I pointed that out. He again mumbled something, took the prescription, tore it up the fourth time and wrote one with the bifocal part added. He handed it to me and practically ran out of the room. It is obvious the doctors here are dealing in quantity, rather than quality. Back to the assistant. While she was in the room, I casually asked her if there were any contact lenses that might be better for me. She replied that if I was satisfied with my current brand it was a good idea to keep using them. That was the whole conversation. When I got the bill, I noted I was charged $30.00 for a ""Contact Lens Evaluation Soft/Hard"" That will teach me to ask a health provider a question! There have to be many better facilities in the area. Even if there is only one, I am going to find it before I go back to this place.
