Review content:
I bought a dental plan to save myself some money. The first dentist at ""Durfee Dental Office"" wanted me to pay about $1500! I thought that he was a total rip off, but this one is even worse! When I got to this office, I was given a free reusable tote bag and a thank you letter. One assistant gave me a tour. Letran owns three dental offices. It seemed strange to me that the other two offices which have been operating for a while, how come there is no reviews? ""Tran"" is a Vietnamese last name, but Letran is certainly not. Did she change her last name for some reason or because she married to some guy called letran, I don't know. The dentist that I saw on that day was not her. So I don't see the point of showing me whatever Letran has done. The assistant also showed me the equipments they have. If I am not gonna have all those procedures, what is the use of showing them? This office doesn't have those tv monitors in front of the chairs which they can use intraoral camera to show your teeth on the screen. At that moment, I thought that because they don't have fancy equipments, they probably won't overcharge people. wow, I was so wrong! Dentist Rita Chen answered all my questions and took the time to ""explain"" to me why I need to get expensive crowns, (which the previous dentist only suggested cheap dental fillings.) She even suggested that if I want to treat aggressively, I should get a crown for a normal teeth with a tiny hole which other dentist didn't even suggest to get a filling! Then their finance person with a stern face came in with an unfriendly voice. They wanted me to pay almost $3,000. That is double of the previous dentist's price! The dentist at ""Hearld Christian Health Center"" only charges me $440 even though their price are identical to my dental plan. When i asked the first dentist office to give me a list of the things that need to be done, they at least printed out an honest list with a price quote for each item. And they made a copy of my copayment schedule which this office didn't ask. Maybe they already have it. So I asked for a price list for the procedures that need to be done. A few minutes later, that person just handed me a hand-written sticky note. On top of it, it has the normal price that they would charge me which was over $6300! Due to my dental plan's ""discount"", I ended up with a suggested price of almost $3000 with a monthly payment plan. Just like how they usually do in those shady auto repair shops, there was no list of detailed procedures or price per procedure. This is purely extortion. Would the dentist herself pay someone $3000 so randomly to fix her teeth? For deep cleaning which I don't really need according to my honest dentist, the Durfee dentist asks for the exact price ($30 per quadrant) according to my dental plan. This place wants me to pay them hundreds of dollars more. When I asked them why, they told me that because they have to treat me with antibiotic medicine which are not covered by my plan. (I bet if I tell them that I don't need those medicine, they will just refuse to do the procedure.) Then how come the Durfee dentist didn't ask for any extra money? It is the same procedure, so why does this office want more money even though I have the same dental plan? I told the assistant that I will get the regular dental fillings instead of the crowns that they want me to get. She told me flat out that they can't do it at this office even though the other two dentists that I saw only suggested dental fillings. Then I told her that I will have the other procedure for my teeth, she then told me that I must have deep cleaning before they can do that procedure which is not true at all! I thought that ""Durfee Dental Office"" was bad, wow, this one is even worse. No wonder they have to advertise everywhere even though they have been operating for a long time. My suggestion to the owner, if you provide honest service, you don't need to advertise a
