Walking through the doors of MIXED PICKLES is walking into a peaceful different world and time. It is always so exciting to go to the store for there are so many incredible finds throughout this lovely designed store. The sweet & knowledgeable owner, Sharon, has a great design sense in showing the many interesting items from around the world. (The school science posters from 1920's France are stunning!) I always find a great cherished item either in their jewelry case or on their 20's-40's postcard rack! All the unique antiques & collectors items have the same excellent quality and theme. I really prefer seeing the item I am purchasing in person, so it is great that their friendly 'pickle' staff allows browsing! (Did you know everyone who works at the store has their own 'pickle' nickname...and yes, "Sweet Pickle" is really a sweet person! Drop by this lovely find in Berkeley and make friends with the 'pickle staff'! .
