Review content:
I was extremely disappointed with Westerville Pediatrics. We are new to Ohio and took a recommendation from a friend who takes their daughter here. I brought my son for his 15 month appointment and they could not have been more impersonal. \r \r While waiting (a very long wait) my son pooped in his diaper. Well, my husband had used the last diaper in the diaper bag and never told me so I was out of diapers. When the nurse took us back, (she barely looked at us or spoke to me and didn't speak to my son at all) I very politely asked her if I could have a diaper. She mumbled yeah and told me to get my son undressed to be weighed. So I did, but he had a messy diaper so I didn't take it all off. Long story short, she forgot the diaper twice and when she finally gave it to me, she tossed it in our direction. At this point I just wanted to get the heck out of there, but finished the appointment. When it came time to weigh him, she put him on the scale, he was crying and she did not talk to him at ALL. It seems very odd to me for a pediatrician's office to NOT try to soothe a crying baby or reassure him that it's ok.\r \r The nurse practitioner came in for the appointment and she was definitely better than the nurse, but still not very 'kid friendly'.\r \r Then the nurse comes in again to give my son his shots. She had me hold him and gave him 3 shots which couldn't have taken longer. \r \r I have taken my son to the pediatrician plenty of times in our previous city and it was NOTHING like this. My former pediatrician and her nurse were so loving to my son and reassuring and never had us hold him for shots. When they did give the shots they always spoke softly to him and gave them extremely quickly. (They also ALWAYS gave us or at least offered a clean diaper after being weighed) So I definitely know what a GOOD pediatrician's office is like and Westerville Pediatrics definitely is not one of them.
