Review content:
I took a chance today on the Phlips crab sub and was not disappointed. "Excellent" is not usually an adjective I can bring myself to use to describe a sandwich, but this was a real standout.
I've enjoyed Jerry's cheesesteaks for close to 25 years; they're pretty good, but for you cheesesteak connoisseurs they likely won't make your top rankings. Nothing particularly memorable but better than average (certainly for Clarendon, and especially for delivery).
For White pizza, Jerry's is one of my all-time favorites. Traditional pizza, however, they can be a bit inconsistent... After a lifetime of eating here, I know when a slice isn't what it should be. Jerry's sauce is on the tangy side; Too much of it, and it cuts the saltiness of the cheese completely... when the cheese isn't fully melted, the sauce just takes over. Regrettably, today's pie fell into that category, but when done right, Jerry's pizza is darn tasty.
