I recently discovered my cat Pumpkin has diabetes. I began taking her to New Hyde Animal Hospital and was lucky enough to end up with Dr. Lynn Santora as my vet. \r \r Naturally I was very nervous about the whole process and had no idea what I was doing. In addition to providing excellent treatment and very clear instructions, she has been so thoughtful, patient and reassuring, many times meeting with me and calling me after hours to talk to me and to check up on Pumpkin. \r \r What really prompted this review however, were Dr. Santora's actions today. I needed to bring in Pumpkin suddenly this morning because she was not eating and I could not give her insulin. It was Dr. Santora's day off so I left my cat at the office in another Dr.'s care. \r \r Not even an hour later, Dr. Santora called me from home to see what had happened with Pumpkin and then she called me again later that night to follow up and see how Pumpkin was feeling after I took her home.
