Review content:
I used to love this restaurant--it was true destination dining. But upon last visit recently, I won't be returning again any time soon.
Gasho's is a touristy type of restaurant and you'll see large groups of folks eating here. Especially popular on Mother's & Father's Day (definitely days to avoid).
The place itself is a Japanese style teahouse. It is filled with hibachi style grill tables that seat up to 8 people. This is fine if you have a large party but if you come in as a couple, you'll be seated at the next available table with strangers. Can be a fun evening or a disaster (I've had both).
Meals are cooked on the grill in front of you and to be honest, every item (whether it be chicken, beef or seafood) tastes the same. Each entree comes with hibachi style vegetables, rice and salad. Mediocre at best--especially since the meals, in my opinion are pricey.
It can get pretty smoky in here due to the heat of grill and the sizzling food.
The place needs a good cleaning; and should consider replacing the carpets and seat covers which are dirty from food stains. Not my favorite spot to dine.
