I have to diagree with the bad review on Dr. Landwerlen at VCA Northwood. He is a VERY good vet that takes wonderful care of animals. He is insistant upon things that he knows are right. Instead of taking a cheaper, one-size-fits-all and hope for the best approach to treating animals like a lot of vets do, he treats them very specifically. He was probably pushy because time was of the essence. I have seen several other vets at this hospital too - both in a routine setting and in emergency settings - and I have always been VERY pleased with them. VCA is definitely more expensive, but that is because they are AAHA certified (American Animal Hospital Association) and because they have an excellent team. I personally will not take my animals to a facility that is not AAHA certified, and VCA is the only one that is certified for miles around Anderson. I have 3 dogs - a Jack Russell Terrier, a Rat Terrier that is handicapped, and a Chihuahua. They also all have Vet Insurance with PetsBest th
