Hollywood Beach Opa Taverna- Table-top dancing Fun! This is a great place to go and have fun. The food is okay- I only say this because it has been hit or miss with this place. I order the same this every time- the Opa seafood salad and hummus and breadsticks and a couple sweet-creamy type liquors and lemon-water. Three times I've come here and the food was great and twice I've come here and been very disappointed with the food. I guess it depends who the cook or chef or kitchen-workers is/are. Drinks can be a bit on the expensive side, and probably will be where the majority of your bill comes from, depending on how many are in your party and how much everyone drinks. Management here also is hit and miss. Sometimes great, sometimes virtually non-existent. There is no cover charge which is great. It is a lively place, very much like a dance club would sound (especially after 10 or 11 pm on weekends), so if you're looking for a quiet romantic place to dine, this isn't it. If your like squeaky-clean floors, this isn't it either. On a busy night, the floors can get layered with napkins much like snow-blanketed sidewalks in the north. I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes you can dance in, because you REALLY don't wanna take your heels off and walk barefoot or in socks here. Tried it last time I came here- had to throw my once-white, then black-as-soot socks away. Waiters/waitresses are great, friendly, fun, engaging and enthusiastic. If you want to have some (usually) good food and have fun with friends, letting loose and shaking your booty on tabletops with belly-dancers, THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!
