Review content:
My name is Jennifer Stevens. On Sunday April 28,2013 my husband and I went out to breakfast at the Red Lion Diner in Red Lion,N.J.\r
We had stayed over at a friends so we went out to breakfast,I had left my purse at our friends, however,I had brought with me my registered service animal, her I.D. card, and she was wearing her harness with her service animal I.D. on it,quite visible.\r
Upon entering,I showed the owner,an older woman,my service animals I.D. which she took to make a copy.\r
We were seated when she came back and said she needed my I.D.\r
I explained that it was back at our friends house, and she said we had to leave even though my service animal was wearing her I.D. and I had her card to verify she was in fact in use as a service animal.\r
As we were leaving,i was reiterating to her that i am a disabled handler. She did not care and forced us to leave.\r
upon exiting, she followed us out, another older gentleman came with her,and as we were getting into the car, this woman,in front of the patrons of the diner, put her left index finger to her temple and spun it in a circle as if to say I was crazy.\r
I have a very hard time going out into public due to my disability..\r
Having been refused service and made to leave has set me back considerably in my ability to enter the society we live in.\r
I require a formal complaint against this establishment..\r
