I personally am tired of lines, bad service, and tired selection at Blockbuster. Not to mention their Puritan and very PC collection. Or the chill that goes down my spine when I hear someone utter, ""Hey look, they still have a copy of Miss Congeniality 2!"", or ""I don't watch movies with subtitles."" Videodrome has none of these problems. They have a great selection, including the staple independent films, foreign releases, cult flicks, classics, and even some more obscure flicks (japanese cyberpunk, etc.). They have a good Anime selection for rent, which is also pretty hard to find. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the product. For being a largely independent movie rental joint, you also don't get the impression that people are gauging your ""indieness"" while you are there. Unlike, for instance, Movies Worth Seeing. Anyway, its worth checking out...and not just because you are tired of blockbuster.
