Dr. Haque is truly a rare and exceptional physician. In fact, I believe the word ""exceptional"" to be an understatement. For literally 20 years, I suffered tremendously from gastrointestinal problems without ever receiving a satisfactory diagnosis from any of the half-dozen or so gastrointestinal specialists I've seen, nor any other specialist I have seen, and I have seen many to say the least. I did, however, get put through the ringer by all of those doctors, who never failed to recommend numerous expensive and inconvenient tests, including more than 10 colonoscopies over the course of the past 12 years, with 4 separate doctors. On a recommendation from my mother, who has also seen her share of medical professionals (my family is particularly prone to health problems unfortunately), I visited Dr. Haque, because hey, it couldn't hurt, right? About 10 minutes into a very amiable conversation about my symptoms, during which Dr. Haque very clearly paid attention to and scrutinized every detail I offered, he announced that he was quite confident that I suffered from a digestive enzyme deficiency, and also likely had accompanying and related problems with my gallbladder and pancreas. Please let me reiterate: *ten minutes.* After 20 years of no answers, this man took 10 minutes to listen carefully, and apply his considerable expertise. After following his recommendations and using the prescriptions he gave me, it took hardly a week for my symptoms to subside approximately 90%, and I have not felt more energized and positive in my entire life. If my admittedly lengthy post here seems a tad dramatic, it is only because of how strongly I feel regarding Dr. Haque's qualifications, and also to offer hope to others in similar circumstances. My life up to this point was day after day of chronic diarrhea, cramps, nausea, fatigue and poor nutrient absorption despite a very healthy diet. My Junior year of college I lost all of my academic scholarships and grants due to a medical withdrawal I was forced to take because of my symptoms. Now, because of this doctor, I have a legitimate cause to hope that I might regain my academic standing (majoring in mechanical engineering and physics, previous GPA of 3.6), finish school, and move on to a great career and a normal life.
