CROOKS, they bait you by telling you on the phone that there is a $59.95 service charge if they don't do the work. This $59.95 service charge is much cheaper than other companies which average $150.00. My hot water heater was still under warrantee for parts but they would not honor the warrantee because they did not install the hot water tank. The tech changed the Thermal Couple. As I was writing the check for $209.03, the pilot went out. (A thermal couple costs about $12.00) The tech then said it was the gas valve and it would cost $545.00. I said that I would contact the mfg., as the part is still under warrantee. I paid $63.38, including tax, for the service call. The tech left the new Thermal Couple on. Of course, it only cost him 12 bucks!!\r
I then called the mfg. A Gas valve costs $103. I called two other companies that the mfg. recommended. Each will charge $150 to come out and replace the gas valve with the new gas valve that the mfg. is sending me at no charge.\r
