Review content:
I wish I had never heard of Paul Adams videography. I hired him 3 years ago to make a video for my son who was traveling overseas. He wanted $1500. When I balked at the price, he said he would do 2 videos for the same amount. I accepted because my daughter was about to be married. As things turned out, my daughter broke up with her fiance just at the time my best friend was about to be married. I contacted Paul about filming his wedding. As only the 2nd gay couple in Contra Costa County to be married, it was quite an exciting and historic day. Paul said he would be only 2 glad to shoot it and he did. Not too long after the ceremony, we were all invited to his home for dinner and to view the video. It was OK except that the date was wrong and there was some duplicate footage. It was agreed that corrections would be made. Subsequently, while still with Paul, the video was lost apparently due to a computer crash. Repeated requests to get our copy went unanswered. I had paid him the $1500 for which I have receipts but never got a finished product from the 2nd event that he had promised to include in the price. Here we are years later and, lo and behold, a copy has surfaced. Instead of making a zillion copies and getting them right out, he has decided to hold the video ransom for extra money. After numerous exchanges with my friend, the bride groom, not only did he refuse to produce the video but he has now gone way beyond any kind of remote business discussion into obsession with my friend. I can only surmise that he is no longer taking his meds. I certainly regret the entire situation and would caution anyone else thinking of hiring him.
