Review content:
My fence was in need of replacing for some time and a recent storm with heavy winds had finally pushed the fence off of the metal posts. I contacted Texas Roof and Fence, on a Saturday, and the owner, Steve Orman, got back to me and letting me know he saw my urgent request for a fence replacement that I had placed just a couple of hours earlier. He told me that he was getting one of his salesmen to contact me about the details. Since it was Saturday I figured this meant that I wouldnt hear back from them until at least Monday. About an hour later, I get a phone call from the salesman, Rico Lara, asking if he could come by at around 5:00 PM to take a look at the situation. During his inspection, we talked about the various solutions that he could offer, I initially asked for three different quotes so I could see what the price ranges were for them. Rico had my quotes emailed to me by Monday evening. I chose a board on board solution with Western Red Cedar to be the standard for getting the rest of the quotes from other vendors. It took about two weeks to gather quotes from four other fence repair/replacement vendors and none of them were as quick to respond as Rico was. I informed each vendor that I would be comparing solutions and sharing what was being provided as part of the solutions so I could compare apples to apples. However I would not be sharing costs to be fair to each vendor. In fact I only met one other vendor face to face, the rest didnt really care to meet me. One of the salesman, continually called me by the wrong name, even after correcting her on my name when we met face to face she continued to use the wrong one in the same conversation. During this time, I asked Rico for some modifications to his previous quotes to match what I was seeing from the other fence companies. The responses from Rico usually came within the same day.
