Used Car Purchase
1) Wrong 2nd Key and Fob Given - I am 80+ miles away. Discovered next day - I had the keys to another vehicle on the lot.
2) Crack in windshield discovered on drive home - price labeling and decals on windshield during test drive concealing the area.
3) Tags & Registration - my instructions not followed. I wanted 30 day tags and would transfer my old tags from another vehicle that I had just renewed. Dealership set up new tags and charged me I discovered later. I paid in full - cash/check for the car. Dealership waited to submit paperwork & pay DMV until very last minute - resulting in my temporary tags almost expiring while waiting on my title and new tags that I did not ask for.
4) Wrote a letter to dealership explaining my frustrations with entire matter. No response for well over 30 days - I called dealership. Each issue above took several calls to get some action or answers. Salesperson no longer there. Mr. Pearson is now to assist and my letter is found. Did not seem to be concerned that this was far from a smooth purchase & transaction - asked me what I felt he should do about it? Some of my expenses for new windshield, lost dollars to DMV, and shipping for incorrect keys I was reimbursed for - but not all of it.
Car has been great - no issues at all.
I manage a business and work retail - in the midst of the general public daily. I don't expect something for nothing & it's not a perfect world - but I have had far less hassles buying a vehicle from an individual verses with this dealership.
My in-laws purchased from Pearson Honda and recommended Pearson dealerships to me. Their experience was better - sorry but I cannot recommend.
I love vehicles and trade often. Nine vehicles maintained in our household right now - Pearson Mazda wish it had been better.
