Review content:
I have been taking my clothes to Two Timers for consignment for years. I have never had a problem until the past several months. Both my daughter and I have an account there because I have a ton of clothes that were still either brand new or almost new and I had lost weight and needed to sell them. My daughter and I both had accounts and we each took turns taking clothing in. In December or January, we hadn't received a check for the most recent batch of clothes and when we called we were given a speech about how we signed paperwork that we agreed to donate our unsold clothes. We knew that. My question was, ""how could I not have a single check for everything that was brought in""? After the clerk argued with me, she put someone else on the phone and it turned out I did have a check sitting there for about $130.00. My daughter put in another batch of clothes. She tried to call several times and the phone wasn't working. Their website we are supposed to use to check the progress of our sales was also down. I was finally able to reach them by phone recently and asked about where my check was and the clerk started out with the usual ""you agreed to donate what didn't sell speech"". When I asked if ANYTHING sold, she said you have a check for $10.00 here. I said I didn't understand. I have been dealing with the store for years and I always got checks for a lot more than that. She told me they had a new owner (as of June 2012), and gave me the new owners name and number. I left the new owner a message, and when she called me she replied immediately, without listening to anything I had to say called me ""unpleasant"". After a lot of yelling going back and forth, I just said I would review her company and service online. She in return left me nasty message stating that she played my message for her attorney and she would sue me if I left any kind of remarks on the internet that affected her business. We never got around to discussing why things weren't selling, why they kept the first check for over $130 without sending it to my daughter, or why I couldn't call her and state my case before she had to get into name calling. I have noticed there has been one complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau against this company in 2/13 that went unanswered by the owner. If you want your clothes to actually sell and you want to receive the check, I would suggest going elsewhere. This woman has a poor sense of listening to the customer and the clothes aren't selling the way they have in the past years. I don't know what has changed besides the owner, but don't expect to be listened to if you have a problem. She has a nasty temper for someone who owns a business.
