Dave Kessner specializes in engravings (hence the name). There are some great photos on his website that I would recommend checking out to get a feel for what he can do. If you are looking to do something really basic, you could probably have it done cheaper elsewhere, but the quality will not be the same as Dave does each engraving custom by hand.
I purchased Leatherman knives for my groomsmen and wanted to get their names engraved on them. He had a book of fonts and suggested a popular one that looked pretty good. He then hand painted on each groomsmen's name and emailed me a photo for review. I gave him the thumbs up and couple of days later, the knives were ready and turned out great.
