Review content:
I recently move to Forest grove about 1 month ago and so far my experience has been very negative one. I live in the historic district near the college and on days off usually take a walk up to Dutch Bro's or browse the down town area, and for starters I can't safely walk through my neighborhood because it appears everyone here owns a pit bull and allows them off leash. I was almost killed by one two years ago and can not begin to describe to you the amount of pressure are behind the jaws of these dogs and the sheer amount of damage they afflict is incredible. It took me 6 months to recover and still going through the law suit with the owner that doesn't want to take responsibility. sorry to jump off topic so back to the point, since I've moved here I noticed a real lack of professionalism in stores a politeness in the general public, people & owners really give off the vibe they don't want to talk to you or have you in there stores any longer then you need to be. I'm a very friendly clean cut respectable person, I enjoy making new friends and having conversations with local business's, neighbors and so on, thats how you get to know people. It's really been an un-pleasant experience that's actually made me feel bad about myself, today was the kicker when I walked in to a local furniture repair shop to go over a few details about a chair I brought down yesterday for repair and forgot to mention and the owners responce was ""I can already tell you're going to be a pain in the ass..I'd like it if you just took your chair and left'd"" I have never been talked to like that before in a place of business and it was totally un-called for, I was very polite and nice to the owner. Customer service doesn't seem to apply here, nor does the friendly ""hello's"" and ""welcomes"" that make community's nice to live in. Anyone looking to move here I would highly recommend reconsidering. The Beaverton area is congested but people are so much nicer and friendlier there, it's a give and take and I'll be moving back as soon as my lease runs out.
