Dire emergency needed for 9 week old pup that needed help. Sister got over her illness 2 days prior and is doing very well. Stronger of the 2 was doing better from a 24 period of becoming ill, Lathargic, . To finally feeling better, being more responsive, becoming alert and eating/drinking again. Duration time of known illness (Tuesday 29th 2008 evening- Thursday 31st morning 0930 Hours when leaving for work. Keep in mind I make my own schedule. Puppy appeared more responsive, had a full stomach from the night before and didn't want to eat following breakfast. THough was licking and being playful again. Within the duration time 0930 hours-1300 hours arriving back home, to find puppies stomach was almost gone and it let out a huge green liquid Bowel only. No stools. Dog was extremely hydrated and covered in it's own mess. Cleaned the puppy and immediately took puppy to hospital. They immediately hooked her up for fluids and basic treatment. (Then the fun started)\r \r THey said we need to quote and have a release. DIdn't have my credit card on me but debit I did. They quoted $574 to do treatment. Told them I needed to get my credit card for that amount. Though they said they would need to at least charge for Fluids (IV) and some proteins. Well upon getting ready to leave they said that they can't keep the puppy their even though I just paid for the intial startup for fluids and stuff. Dog was becoming responsive on fluids. THey told me unless they have FULL payment they can't keep her. I argued with them telling them I just paid $54 to start the process while I go home and get the card, They refused to help. SO I raced home with a drifting puppy, arrived back and within the moments of entering their office to get her back on the fluids. She died. So I am under the understanding from another vet that the puppy could have had a chance if they kept her on the fluids while I went to get my card for rest of payment. Your Pet will DIE!!! in their lack of care... Pros: Absolutely none Cons: Your pet will received lack of care
