Review content:
I have three dogs which have all been patients of the Maricopa Animal Hospital (the little trailer) for 3 years. Up until recently, the facility was run by Dr. Gammill, a wonderful man who really showed interest for the well-being of animals. Upon a check up visit today, I was informed that they are under new ownership, with a new veterinarian, Dr. Anderson. Boy was that a mistake! Before the exam even began, I was asked to sign a release form stating that I would pay all charges incurred, but the amount was blank. When I asked an estimated cost for the visit, I was told $185. $185! All I need was a prescription refill! They wanted to examen him and take unneeded hemoglobin work. I know for a fact that the hemoglobin work used to cost around $85 and they are now charging $120. When I asked about this, I was verbally beraded and told that if I did not want to pay I should go somewhere else. All I asked was for the billing to be explained! At that point I realized that they have probably lost so much business to the new Maricopa Wells Animal Hospital, that they were more concerned over money that the actual care of animals. I immediately called the Maricopa Wells facility, and they were very nice and got me an appointment right away for HALF the cost, even with a new patient exam!
