Don't try to make sense of anything here. If you do, you will make yourself crazy. Example: My neighbors had a door mat and a door decoration up (for 2 years). I decided, what the heck, I'll put mine out, too. Within a week I had a note telling me I was violating the lease, that my items needed to be taken down immediately, blah blah blah...so I take my things down--here we are a year later---neighbor still has her things out. No notes for her. Same with balcony items: I had a small section of bamboo outside-BAM-note on my door. My neighbors? Bird feeders, curtains, piles with rubbermaid bins, clothing rack-DOG BARKING INCESSANTLY. That's TOTALLY ok, apparently. Items inside the apartment are old and worn out. Chipped, um EVERYTHING. Noise is constant and the disgusting smell of cigarette smoke would make a hard-core chain smoker sick. Actually wish I would have read YELP! prior to moving in here. \r
