Camp McDonald Animal Hospital is my choice for great care of my Bernese Mountain Dogs. The facility is clean with the most up-to-date technology, allowing me to go to only one location for specialized tests and follow up. As a breeder and owner of multiple dogs, this access to top diagnostic medical equipment is very important to me. \r

The staff is competent and friendly, always calling with reminders and follow up to my dogs’ visits. The detailed medical histories and guidance hand outs they provided for my puppy litter was quite helpful for the new puppy owners. And, I believe Dr. Scott Petereit is one of the most experienced and intuitive vets that has cared for my dogs (and I have had many due to living in multiple locations and owning multiple dogs.)\r

Others have complained about the costs. I disagree that they are trying to pad your bill; everyone has a choice on what services to receive. Dr. Scott and staff want to present the best medical options for your pet, and then it is your choice on how to proceed. I have compared costs locally and Camp McDonald is comparable to the other top veterinary clinics. \r

Recently, one of my dogs had a complicated spay operation. Dr. Scott walked me through each of the steps and decision processes he made with the operation, demonstrating his skill as a surgeon and openness with his clients. My dog recovered well from her surgery she is healthy and happy. \r
I feel my pets are in the best medical care at Camp McDonald and that is why I drive over 25 miles to go to this veterinary clinic. I highly recommend this clinic and skilled staff for your pet. \r
