a word of advice, if you are thinking about renting from Plantations at Haywood Apartment Community, I would reconsider. We got a letter in May saying our lease was up and out move out date was June 16th, and we had to pay $70.00 prior to that. Which was fine we set up a moving date. Well, We received a call yesterday saying our move out day was really the 5th, but they made a typo on the letter, and now we owe $270 for the extra days. They admit it is their fault but ACCUSED me of ""knowing it was a typo and taking advantage of the situation"" No, if I knew that staying until the 16th would be an extra 200 bucks I would have been out on the fifth. Now they want me to pay for their mistake? if you are sending out notices of move out dates and amounts owed shouldn't you proof read first? and 16 and 5 are not easily mistaken, so no I did not ""KNOW"" this was a typo. I figured that it was correct info, and since it was the last info we received I went by it. Also not to mention every time it rains our ceiling leaks. They ""fixed"" it last time, but tonight when we get in bed our mattress and sheets are soaked from the ceiling they ""fixed"" leaking. Our mattress is probably ruined. And lets not forget when my license plate was stolen the night of a complex ""social"" in the parking lot and used in a hit and run accident. when we called the front office to inform them of the situation the guy said ""Well what do you want me to do?"" Nothing we just thought you should be aware of this problem. What I am saying is not an opinion but the truth, what people think after they read it is up to them. Just bringing it to attention.
