Businiess name:  Benjamin Franklin Plumbing

Review content:
I called this business for a plumbing problem. They dispatched a plumber pretty quickly, but in assessing the problem, he was very hesitant and unsure. Ultimately, he recommended a very costly repair, explaining that it was the only type of repair he'd be willing to do based on the company's 2 year service warranty.\r \r This seemed reasonable, yet he never called me back with an estimate. After collecting other estimates, I called them back and explained I never received an estimate. The dispatcher said the particular plumber would call me right back. He never did.\r \r Ultimately, I went with a local plumbing and heating company that's been in business in Durham for years and had a much better experience. The plumber with this other company - Brown Brothers - was much more knowledgeable and was able to fix the problem for hundreds of dollars less than what Ben Franklin said would be the case (again, I didn't receive an actual estimate, but was told it would be ""several hundred dollars""). I don't recommend Ben Franklin. Great statesman, lousy plumbing company. Pros: Quick dispatcher response Cons: No follow-through, questionable recommendations
