Review content:
I was involved in an accident over 2 months ago in which I was hit from the back and I hit the car in front of me. I brought my car to A Auto Tech and was initially pleased with the results. After the initial repair, I had to visit this shop a total of 7 times to fix mistakes that they have made. Here is the summary of events:
1) After getting my car out of the shop, it starts making weird rattling and scraping noises. I call A Auto Tech and they urge me to come in.
2) I come into the shop and they say they will take it in and look at it. As I am walking away, without even looking at the car, they tell me that there is "no way" it could be caused by the accident and they can't fix it. He tells me that it is just my car being too old. I have never had a single problem with this car prior to the accident.
3) I have a State Farm agent come out and look at it and he realizes that A Auto Tech never looked at or repaired the back of my car (the site of initial impact in the accident). I'm told to take it in immediately.
4) I go back to A Auto Tech, they tell me that the person I need to talk to isn't there and he will be back in a week. They tell me they will call me when he returns.
5) When I don't hear anything for 2 weeks, I call back and they tell me to take it in.
6) I leave the car. They call me immediately and tell me that, while they will fix the back bumper, the rattling noise has "nothing to do with the accident" and they will not fix it. They tell me it will cost $1,300 but they will call around and see if they can find any deals for me.
7) I pick up my car. No mention of the "deals" were made.
8) I realize that the gas door will not open after I had taken it to A Auto Tech. I call and tell them and they urge me to bring it back.
9) I take it in and the first thing the employee says is "it has nothing to do with their repairs." After seeing I am upset, he reluctantly and begrudgingly looks at it and fixes it.
According to my initial experience with A Auto Tech, I do believe that they are capable of quality work. It seems that me and my "old car" fell through the cracks. Every time I had to call or take it back in, I felt that I was being treated as a nuisance and I was often felt patronized or looked down upon by the employees. I was never offered any apology or any kind of reconciliation for these unfortunate events. Needless to say, I will not be going back and I will not be recommending their services.
