I brought my 2001 accord in for routine service, but it had an issue with the engine from a previous owner who neglected it (I bought it off craigslist...)
After getting the bleak diagnosis of the engine noise I asked them about special finance deals. I have good credit, I just thought I could save money buying a SUPER cheap used car! You get what you pay for..
So I test drove a new civic lx and it was night and day so much better than any crappy car I've ever owned. Elliot my salesperson wasn't even pressuring me to buying. Just answering my questions and pointing out features. Through it all he was just really genuine and honest. He talked me out of a more expensive Accord LX because a Civic better suited my needs. I had a great experience - it was so laid back and they have a complimentary coffee bar with pastries and really good coffee. It's way better than starbucks! That was just the icing on the cake.
After all that can you believe they gave me a decent trade in on my broken 2001 accord??
All is well in the world and I LOVE my new civic. I even named it! I will be going to First Texas Honda for service in the future.
