Having reason to celebrate, I decided to treat my family to a fine dining experience at Del Frisco's. I had been there years ago and heard it was still the top place to take a group of hungry carnivores. My 3 (teen and twenties) guests were thrilled and ate with gusto speaking between bites only to discuss a return visit. Unfortunately, I was less than thrilled. Our water and soda glasses were unfilled 90% of the evening (1 person of 4 received a refill). The salad while tasty was limp. The steak orders were handed out in silence incorrectly and we played musical plates. I had French silk pie which could be better described as ice cream in a pie shell since it was largely still frozen and definitely wasn't silky. Even the steak was just average. I don't own a grill and have managed to equal the quality in my oven. My family was happy so from that perspective, it was indeed a celebration. The last thing I wanted to do was take the smiles from their faces by complaining. When all was said and done, they gleefully departed with the leftovers (I didn't want those either) feeling stuffed while I had a huge empty feeling and a wallet substantially lighter. Pros: Non-paying guests were quite happy Cons: Average food, Average service, $250+
