Review content:
I first heard of Lunardi's when I lived in Walnut Creek. For some reason, I couldn't find the Lunardi's hidden in away there, so when I dropped off 280 onto 35 and saw the Lunardi's off of San Bruno, I was stoked to give it a try. I found the prices suprisingly reasonable compared to Safeway and Trader Joe's, where I usually frequent. The staff is exceptional.. instead of feeling like I bugging them whenever I neede their service, they treated me like I was doing them a favor by shopping at their shop (the way service should be, right?) They have an extensive meat selection (comparable to the local butcher shop), great choice of vegies and fruits, and a mediocre deli. I ordered a sandwich for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. They also carry Krispy Kreme donuts (super score!). They also ask if you'd like paper or plastic (who asks that anymore??) and their paper bags are lovely.. never thought I'd say that. Hardy and reusable. I will definitely shop here again.
