Last July I fell and had a horrendous elbow dislocation that required a radial head replacement surgery, and..my lovely wedding band had to be cut off in the surgeon's office. This broke my heart because I feared the ring would not be repairable. When we purchased our matching Orange Blossom brand rings they had to be ordered to be custom made, we were told they could not be sized, so we had to be very sure of the sizes we chose. My ring had been cut and stretched open a quarter of an inch. The cut was rough, The fellow said it was about the thickest ring he had ever cut. He had slipped a few times and there were gouges, scratches on the outside and inside the ring. The ring has been in my jewelry box for 10 months now, while I have recovered. My hand was swollen for a long time. Finally I noticed I could easily slip the ring over my finger, but I feared to hope it could be fixed. Mr Tony looked at the ring Wednesday afternoon, the day before yesterday.\r It is two metals. There is a 14k white gold band that is made with a channel that a second band of 14k yellow gold is fitted into the middle. The white gold band has a flat smooth edge, then that is like a frame on each side of the yellow gold. The yellow gold is domed and shiny in the center. The edges of the yellow gold are slightly elevated from the white gold and are milgrain beading, and then, working toward the center, slightly elevated above the milgrain is a scalloped edge. It resembles a minuscule rick rack to me. He told me he could not replicate the machined pattern, but he could make it so when I looked at it I could not see it. He told me to expect a call back on Friday, May 3rd. \r Yesterday afternoon he called and told my husband the ring was ready. I am amazed at his workmanship. I could not see where the repair had been made as I slowly turned the ring around, neither could my husband find a place that looked repaired. Only when I turned it over and looked inside and saw ""Orange Blos"" could I tell where to look on the outside. And then, under a magnifying glass I could see a waver in the milgrain beading and a slight flattening of three scallops. And the ring had to be enlarged from a 6.25 to a 7 to fit me now! I am thrilled! Mr Tony absolutely exceeded my expectations! I am blessed beyond measure, for unlike poor Humpty Dumpty, I am put back together, now whole again!
