PROJECT: In April 2013, I had this company take on a project doing some updates to our house, working with a budget of $3,000 to $3,500.
WORK INVOLVED: Installed floor tile in the laundry room, the foyer at both doors & in front of a wood burning stove. Reworked living room, dining area & kitchen ceilings with new sheet rock. Updated both bathrooms with new tile (shower & floors). Installed a bar-type light fixture above the bathroom sink. Reworked two overflow drains for appliances that had been shoddily installed to begin with. Installed bathroom exhaust fan.
WORK PRACTICES: Tim, the owner, showed up as scheduled; if his schedule altered for any reason, he cleared it ahead of time. Before starting, he went over the list of work to make sure it was complete & accurate. Afterwards, when unusual situations popped up, he brought it to my attention & made recommendations for me to consider. They kept high-traffic areas clear except when working there. They ensured their work areas were cleaned before leaving each day. They were friendly, courteous & very professional; their work was of the highest quality. The final cost of the project fell within budget.
BOTTOM LINE: Walker Quality Construction delivers more bang for the buck! I'll definitely use them for future projects.
