Review content:
Dr. Caruso has been working with my elderly dog continually since a vestibular episode and other health issues that began a month or so ago. Her sound advice, expertise and availability during these tough times have been invaluable to not only my dog, but to me, as well. Last night I had to rush him to their office, right at closing time, suspecting he had suffered from heat stroke. Dr. Caruso was waiting at the door for us and gently took my 65 lb. buddy out of my husband's arms, where we followed her to the procedure area. We were allowed to go back with them, which was a huge help to us all emotionally. Her calm, methodical actions during this crisis literally SAVED HIS LIFE. Within 15 minutes under her care, he was sitting up, calmly looking at us - where right before he was in a severely critical, horrible state. As he lay there recovering, she hand fed him bits of wet dog food, stroking & talking to him. I will never forget that moment as long as I live. I also must mention the vet tech that assisted during the entire ordeal, Tiffany - who is one of the most kind-hearted, competent young ladies I have ever met. She, like Dr. Caruso and the other staff members who were present, treated my dog as if he were their own. Tiffany even provided me with a box of Kleenex to wipe my tears right in the midst of this stressful event, even placing her hand on my shoulder to reassure me. Another moment engraved in my mind forever. Instead of having to take him to an emergency facility to stay an indefinite amount of time recovering, he was well enough to take home from their office directly after. I am happy to report that my boy is doing quite well, all things considered & I am prayerful that he will make a full recovery from this incident. I just cannot say enough about Dr. Caruso and her staff at Vet Associates. I feel that pet owners owe it to their pets to provide them with the best possible veterinary care and this is the place that provides that & so much more! They are truly my heroes & I thank them from the bottom of my heart!
