I found Golden State Home Inspections on the internet. Basically, they inspected the home I was buying. They seemed to do a pretty fair job, at first, but after I bought the home I realized something that they could have done a better job on.
The inspector called out a wire going through the attic to a vent. I was led to believe that it was just a TV cable, so I had it cut off. Well, it turned out to be a wire to the sprinkler system, and could have just been left alone. I wish the inspector had been more specific, because it would have saved me a lot of trouble. Otherwise, I guess he did a decent job, all in all.
