Review content:
After being closed for kitchen renovations The Track has reopened. My friends and I recently had dinner and were very happily surprised at the new menu. From the appetizers to the desserts we found old favorites and new. I have always been a fan of the mussels at The Track and they didn't disappoint. Garlicky with white wine and just enough cream to make the dish perfect. The crawfish cakes are fantastic with a Louisiana touch of remolaude and a butter sauce spiked with hot sauce. The entrees we chose were the fresh rockfish topped with lump crabmeat, pork tenderloin with an apple cream sauce, the Biscuits & Duck Gravy and the trout stuffed with bay scallops. There wasn't a bad taste in the bunch. The dessert menu was a surprise, before when we had visited The Track the desserts seemed to be an afterthought. There were classics like creme brulee and bread pudding, the bread pudding was made with Krispy Kreme doughnuts, the Southern Bourbon Chocolate Pecan tart was warm topped with house made vanilla bean ice cream. \r

Overall, we were amazed and delighted by The ""New"" Track and can't wait to go back.\r
Pros: great food, wonderful service, inventive menu
Cons: parking can be dicey but you can find a place
