Review content:
Me and my husband had very bad experiences with this place and Dr. Opsahl. A lot of things was not done right during the 5-6mos. we were seeing them. I was given IUI before a HSG testing was done. There was no fees reviewed to us on all the testings and IUI procedures. I didn't know to ask for it since I am covered by ins. and I didn't know they charge so much more than other place. The wrose of all is we were not given our tests results. One of my husband's test in 9/2009 suggest we do IVF with 50-100% ICSI. I consider this a very important piece of info., but it was not revealed to us at all. So in the mean time, we had 3 IUI done, ane each of those cost > $1000.00 This month, 8 mos later, we decided to get a 2nd opinion from SRM and I requested my medical recordes. And that is when we saw that the 1st time. What in the world this Dr. hide that from us and have us keeping IUIs in the mean time? We went in last week for an answer from Dr. Opsahl. We were told if we want our test results reivewed, we need to request a paid appt. Yes, but no one in there office ever told us to schedule such an appt. And looks like, no appt., no copy of test result will be given to us from his office. What further upset me is I indeed had a paid review in 1/2010, but still Dr. Opsahl has not revealed that test in 9/2009. And he continue to suggest me IUI with more expensive med. I believe at that point, it is not bad service, it is bad pratices. \r
\r
Look at his fees vs. SRM (seattle repro. med.)\r
\r
Baseline blood tests: $742 vs. $422\r
Baseline ultrasound: $300 vs. $135\r
One IUI bill to female: $570 vs. $175 (this doesn’t include monitor ultrasounds and med.)\r
HSG: $530 to this NW Repro and $1500 to Evergreen Hospital total $2030 vs. $750 one bill from SRM.\r
\r
I hope you do your homework of checking out all the fees before going with any Dr.
Cons: charges twice as much and yet service is bad
