Review content:
Was a member back in 2005 through a friend. Getting me in free off his membership he had. We were by no means close to the gym, but I was determined to get fit. I should have read the contract better. They ""show"" you the equipment, but you dont get to inspect it really. Once i became a member I started using the equipment, but noticed it was loose or worn down on most machines. None of the machines were wiped down, even though they are supposed to be after each use. The locker room is really the only thing i liked for the whole spa. The steam room was the part I liked the most, to clean out my nasal passages after a workout helped me recover faster. After about 2 months i didnt want to go anymore as i was ramping up for a deployment, and had classes. I learned at THAT time, the contract i signed for was for a number of months inbetween 2 and 3 years. I asked them how i can get out of it, and they said to PAY EVERY MONTHS BILL AT ONE TIME... I looked blankly at the manager and he looked at me like I was stupid. Then I told him I was deploying... he said No problem call this number, and about 4 Thursdays later I had an appointment. The appointment didnt do ANYTHING but tell me that my account would be put ON HOLD and billing would continue, I would just get ""free"" months at the end for each month I paid for. I was so angry with this place, and ashamed that I didnt read the contract, that I never went back to this place, because I felt so defeated, and didnt want to be seen by the staff after the effort I put in to get OUT. 150 dollars to become a member, then every month it costs. At that point it was 50 dollars each per month for myself and my (at that time) wife (100$ /mo). I ended up having to call a month after my contract date was up, because they BILLED US AGAIN and said, Oh its somewhere in the contract that states we extend your contract for life, unless you tell us to stop. Luckily the Thursday appointment to cancel got it done in only about 1 hour of talking. Seriously folks avoid this place, just steam up the shower at home, and choose a different gym, one that treats you like a human being.
