I've never had a bad experience. Granted, I have never brought in an animal for them to butcher so I can't comment on the post below but I just wanted to offer up some positive words. I always make a point of stopping in when I'm in that part of town and have yet to be let down with the meat or service. The butcher is very knowledgeable (I like being able to ask questions about the meat I'm buying), friendly, eager to give you the exact cut you want, and sources most of his meat locally (I just bought some lamb he gets from northern Colorado vs. the stuff you'll find from New Zealand/Australia in every major chain). Yes, it can be a bit more expensive than Wal-Mart but the quality of the meat is far better and you're supporting someone's livelihood so that's got to be worth the extra couple dollars. Stop in sometime and support your local butcher.
